Acting out the real Christmas story was added to our Christmas celebration this year. Mary (Beth Anne), Joseph (Tanner), Shepherds (John Mark & Sadie), & baby Jesus (Miller) all did a wonderful job. Each child had a line to say and all of them remembered even Miller talked & cooed. Sadie & Miller did not want to wear their costumes! We also sang carols complete with hymnals, played dirty Santa, and sang happy b-day to Jesus complete with a cake & each child had a candle to blow out! We have had a cake for Jesus at every Christmas since the first grandchild some thirty plus years ago. What sweet memories of all those Christmases with Birthday cakes for Jesus & now to do the same with my children is very special to me!
