The Blessing Sung By Our Little Blessing!!!

Down Time!

We are enjoying some down time around here!!!
Christmas is packed away & now we
are enjoying all our new things like the
water color set from MaLa.
We have had many tea parties, Pet Shop adventures, puppy strolling, dancing, art sessions, "tractor" riding & LOTS of teething & all that comes with that for Miller.
We are hoping for teeth real soon!
Look I can paint my finger nails, too!
Miller is trying to eat his toes!

One of Sadie's Christmas favorites!
Sadie is Driving at 2!
She is calling it her green Tractor.
She does ride the green John Deere tractor when we go visit
MaLa & Bill...so it makes since she now has her very own
green "tractor."
Look mine is just like my Daddy's...
Sadie's "tractor's" top speed is 2 miles per hour!
Sadie LOVES Rusty!
We had a wonderful time spending Christmas in the country! SOOO many more pictures to share. With all the rain & rain & rain... Sadie finally got to ride her new wheels and she loved it.
Riding right beside Daddy was a hit!

"Millwah, Stop Splash'in Me!
I Already Bathed Me..."

Monday, December 22, 2008

Acting out the real Christmas story was added to our Christmas celebration this year. Mary (Beth Anne), Joseph (Tanner), Shepherds (John Mark & Sadie), & baby Jesus (Miller) all did a wonderful job. Each child had a line to say and all of them remembered even Miller talked & cooed. Sadie & Miller did not want to wear their costumes!
We also sang carols complete with hymnals, played dirty Santa, and sang happy b-day to Jesus complete with a cake & each child had a candle to blow out! We have had a cake for Jesus at every Christmas since the first grandchild some thirty plus years ago. What sweet memories of all those Christmases with Birthday cakes for Jesus & now to do the same with my children is very special to me!
I love this sweet time of year, don't you?

Christmas has Begun!!!

John Mark (3)
Sadie (2)

Beth Anne (6) & Miller ( 5 months)
Christmas at these ages is sooo much fun!!! We kicked off this Christmas in Dothan. What a sweet time we had. Sadie and Miller's favorite thing was the wrapping & ribbons. Sadie opened all her presents as fast as she could & was on to somebody elses gifts. She did not seem to care about the gift as much as the tearing into the wrapping. Miller was very entertained "eating" some gold ribbon. My mom has a framed saying in her kitchen that sums it all up, "MeMe's house is a place where cousins become friends." We miss all of you already!

Visit with Santa

You want me to go sit on that man's lap?

Miller is actually "talking" to Santa!

All smiles with Daddy blocking me from Santa!
I am not going to sit with him by myself!

Sadie does not know much about Santa at all. We really have not talked or read much about him this Christmas on purpose. Her favorite book this Christmas is, Who is Coming to Our House, which is all about the animals getting "their house" ready to welcome baby Jesus. We have focused more about it being Jesus Birthday than anything to do with the Santa. It was totally MY idea to take them to see Santa. I really just wanted a sweet picture & thought with both Grandmothers in town we could get one. Lee even looked at me during lunch and asked me did I really want to take them to see Santa & that he did not think that it was a good idea. He was right!!! Sadie has now been saying, "I don't like Santa & that he iz a scary man."

Sadie's First Christmas Program

It was precious! As soon as she entered the sanctuary she ran over to us while yelling, Hey MaMa & Daddy. She did eventually make it to her place on the stairs with her class. They sang: Jingle Bells, Mary Had a Baby Boy, Happy B-day to Jesus, & We Wish You a Merry Christmas. She sang & did all the motions. What sweet memories we made of her first Christmas program ever! We then had a B-day party for Jesus, lunch at Chappy's, & a visit with Santa...

Sweet Treats for Sweet Friends!

Sadie has had so much fun "took'in" with MaMa today! Thought I would share what we made for our sweet friends at MMOut. We made Sadie's favorite Christmas treat so far this year...white chocolate covered pretzels with lots of sprinkles. Adding the sprinkles is Sadie's favorite part as you might imagine. I picked up the treat bags & cute ribbon at W-Mart!
We also made cupcakes for our
Birthday Party for Jesus...
I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR!

IN PRAYER...

"What we fail to understand is that prayer is not just asking God for things; it is submitting ourselves to Him for His will to be done in our lives. It is yielding ourselves as channels for His power. And when we have done that, we know that prayer has been effective even if our requests are denied." from The Cup and the Waterfall by John Killinger.

"It is not so true that 'prayer changes things' as that prayer changes me and I change things. God has so constituted things that prayer on the basis of Redemption alters the way in which a man looks at things. Prayer is not a question of altering things externally, but of working wonders in a man's disposition." My Utmost for His Highest, by Oswald Chambers.

"Prayerless people cut themselves off from God's prevailing Power, and the frequent result is the familiar feeling of being overwhelmed, overrun, beaten down, pushed around, defeated. Surprising numbers of people are willing to settle for lives like that. Don't be one of them. Nobody has to live like that." Too Busy Not To Pray, by Bill Hybles.

Splish Splash!!!

Who knew bath time with your big Sis could be so much FUN? Sadie is giving Miller "crowns" as she calls them. She decorated him during their first bath time experience together a couple of weeks ago and now it is pretty much a every bath time thing. She loves her alphabet sponge letters! She likes to "spell" all kinds of words as you can see. The sweet things she comes up with are priceless...

Praise the Lord!

Enter His gates with Thanksgiving
And His courts with praise.
Give thanks to Him, bless His name.
Psalm 110:4
We has reason to celebrate! Miller will not have to wear the cranial helmet! Our prayers have been answered and we are overjoyed. Miller is our little miracle. He is doing GREAT in ALL areas of concern!!! Our hearts are so touched by all your thoughts, calls, emails and most of all your sweet prayers. It is a special feeling knowing people are praying for you & your baby.
TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
Can you tell Miller is excited he does not have to wear a cranial helmet 23 hours a day? Miller has learned how to get Sadie & she does not know what to think about it. He has also learned how to get Mama's hair! We were all in the floor playing together and I had to grab the camera. I have the privilege of staying home with these precious two babies & I love every minute of it!
